About Storyloka
Every chapter,
painted.
Why we made it
Big stories deserve slow attention.
The oldest stories people tell (of creation and floods, of duty and devotion, of clever fishermen and long journeys home) have carried families through thousands of years of bedtimes. Children deserve to meet them slowly, with a grown-up beside them.
Storyloka puts 1,775 chapters from five traditions into one calm, private app. There's no feed and nothing to win, just a story, a painting to explore and something to wonder about together.
How the paintings are made
Our art rules.
God is never a person
Divine presence appears only as light, sunbeams, cloud, fire or wind, with no shape or figure in it.
Nothing frightening
No gore, nothing that reads as blood, no weapons in use, no scary creatures.
Every painting reviewed by eye
Each one is checked against its chapter before it is approved. Problems are fixed in the brief, then repainted.
A light in the dark
In 977 paintings a small golden firefly hides, so there's always something to look for.
